Le carton a beau arriver nickel, s'il est tomb� plusieurs fois de 1 ou 2m bien � plat, �a se voit pas de l'ext�rieur. Concernant la tour des photos que j'ai post� page 1, le boitier lian li �tait nickel; pas de coin amoch� ni rien, c'est juste en l'ouvrant qu'on d�couvre l'�tendue des d�g�ts.

Tout le monde ne fait pas n'importe quoi, enfin, je l'esp�re.
J'ai command� une lampe � l'�tranger une fois. J'ai eu moins de chance que toi... Elle pouvait remplacer le Mac dans une enveloppe...

Et b�h, merci les agents de quai . C'est bizarre parce que ma t�te d'ampli � lampes avait des "Achtung" et truc du genre de partout, elle avait aucune �gratignure (et pourtant, c'est fragile ces b�tes l�)

Translation:
PC Number one and the extra parts have arrived safely. According to the packaging material this thing could survive a plane crash.

We try to be on the safe side as much as possible and yes you can do that, so a drop from two meters on a concrete floor wont damage the system. It took us some time to figure out how that could be done, but now we havent had any transport damages for over three years now.

BTW, a computer dropped from 2m height is dead ...

(note the noctua's metallic strips did not fail here)

In conclusion, I'd say you will get everything destroyed befor e having the metalic strips failing. Especially with a heavy cooler like the mugen 2.

Well the plastic straps at the CPU cooler are there instead of the Scythe solution, because its safer for transportation. I assume the french delivery services handling the packages as rough as the germans do. We have had some incidents where the package might have dropped from 1,5-2m height straight on the concrete floor. Therefore to keep everything in place we use the plastic stripes.

Hi Gerrit. Thank you for the answers.

I agree with you about the plastic straps (they are cheap), but why didn't you use the mugen 2 metalic fan strips ?
Since the fan is directly in contact with the cooler, they should not make any difference about the noise level, and, at least, they dont need to be cut to replace the fan in the future.

Well the website will be some day multilangual. The problem at the moment is not the translation but the maintenance. Today changes in price, configuration and description take a lot of time. To double or triple the work now is not manageble.
When we do the translation, we will have english, french and dutch in the top three depending how each country responds to our products.

Modifications to our systems are no problem. We do whatever is possible and of course doesnt make the pc any louder. To build a system with special Memory or an SSD is a procedure where we like to have closer contact to the customer, so he/she gets the best performance for their money.
The webshop is kind of a showcase of what we are able to build and what it will cost. 95 % of our customers request changes or completely new configurations. To cover all requested changes with the webshop would make it neccesairy to raise the prices about 10-15% because of the time it would take to maintain the shop. We want to be as affordable as possible and in close contact to the customer. Through this we have saved them thousands of Euros every month, because everyone got the right system for their needs. We really like and care for the people who buy out products.

I do have some questions:

First concerning your website, will it be possible in the future to have an english (or french) version ? I had a bit of trouble reading deutsch (that's what you obtain when you skip classes) .

Then, will more options be implemented ,like a SSD instead of a HDD or Ram with heatspreader ? A SSD option (for the OS, for example) would be a great choice, at nearly 2000 euros, this computer is rather high-end thus, customers buying it should be interested in SSD instead of HDD even if this is by no mean cheap.

Je suis Gerrit Schwartz le createur pour toutes des Besser Leise ordinateurs.
Well my french writing is a little bit limited so I try to answer in english as much as I understand your questions.
The plastic straps for the graphic card are pretty solid. We tested this configuration for several month and we havent had any failure although we overheated the card as much as it was possible without damaging the GPU. These straps are used in worse conditions and doing well for years. So you dont have to worry about their stability.
Why we used them is pretty simple. Its the best silent solution and it doesnt cost anything which helps to keep the price of the system down.

The PSU we used is currently out of production. That is correct. But we have some of them in stock. We estimate that we can deliever pcs with this PSU for another two or three month.
Its possible that we get new PSUs then. If not we will use a new Scythe PSU which will be aktiv cooled but close to noiseless.

et non tu as bien lu, j'ai pouss� le vice (ou le d�bilisme) jusque l�...

Pourquoi ? Car pass� un certain point de r�duction, il est extr�mement difficile de continuer � r�duire les d�cibels et il faut donc faire dans le craquage !

Sinon, si comme moi tu habites sur Paris et que tu n'as qu'une pi�ce pour tout faire, tu dois savoir ce que c'est de vivre avec une machine bruyante, et une copine qui ne le supporte plus... aux grands mots les grands moyens !!!
