Le rétro-gaming ne semble pas connaitre la crise, en atteste cette fructueuse vente d'une cartouche de NES. Le jeu en question est un certain Super Mario Bros, que beaucoup considère comme le premier jeu vidéo grand public à succès, en atteste ses 40 millions de copies écoulées.
L'organisme Watagames a attribué la note de 9.4/10 à cet exemplaire, il explique que l’exemplaire possède un "Hangtabs" en carton, sorte de languette qui permettait d'accrocher les premiers jeux vidéo à des barres dans les rayons, le jeu n'était donc pas scellé avec un film plastique, mais avec une simple étiquette auto-collante. Tous ces éléments tendent à prouver qu'il s'agirait de l'un des premiers exemplaires distribués sur le sol américain et expliquerait son prix de 114.000 dollars.
